It is difficult choosing where to start to introduce Ali Al Abdan, as he has multiple talents and excels in all of them and that is an exception, he is a visual artist, an art critic, a poet, a writer, a musician, and knowledgeable in the art of music, that’s why we adopt his definition of himself as “researcher for knowledge” therefore, he is an intellectual researcher who devoted himself to pursue a scientific, literature and artistic objectives.
His skill in the scientific research field produced many books, publications, and published articles. To be a scientific researcher means more than learning, that’s why he doesn’t hesitate to reveal his internal intellectual entity, indications, and experiences in many fields, he dives into and understands the principles and laws of the human knowledge and embraces it, he absorbs the life of knowledge and science.
The researcher Ali Al Abdan is inclined towards culture and its fields, he searches for the aesthetic unit between different aspects intellectually and artistically. In his research, he speaks about “ People’s Musicology” and “Visual Art Fossils” and mentions “The History of Visual Arts” and writes about artistic concepts, notions, and artists’ biographies and their most important art works, devoting himself as an independent intellectual, armed with honesty. He has his own thoughts and convictions which stand separated from any other, he is persistent in his quest to develop knowledge based on an approach that depends on absolute honesty.

The researcher Ali Al Abdan relies on the intellectual approach, which is a creative approach and can be validated and developed. Alongside his artwork, Ali Al Abdan gave multiple courses about art criticism, the basics of reading the artworks, and the principles of aesthetic aptitude. He published a book about the art in UAE entitled “The New Century… Fine Art Trends in UAE after the Year 2000”
Al Abdan also has multiple published research and books about Arabic music including ‘A Letter and a Play” (three parts), Al Abdan presents in it the history of folk music in UAE in a documented and accurate way, and mentions the early pioneers of poets and singers, and sheds the lights on different angels of the literary and artistic heritage and cultural heritage for UAE, and he published a poetry collection entitled “A Shadow in Eclipse” in 2016…
