Sharjah 24: Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Ruler’s Office, inaugurated, on Wednesday, the 38th annual exhibition of the Emirates Fine Arts Society (EFAS), which is being held at the Sharjah Art Museum, with the title “Spirit of Time”.
Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman toured the exhibition halls, looking at the works that reflect the title of the exhibition and represent the originality of the arts in the United Arab Emirates.
Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman listened to an explanation from the participating artists about their works that embody art between the past, present and future.
The exhibition seeks to give the members of the EFAS the opportunity to show different creative interpretations in which artists share their experience and artistic style.
More than 60 artists of different nationalities will participate in the exhibition, which will be held from January 18 to March 18 of 2023.
On the sidelines of the opening of the exhibition, Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman honoured the artist Obaid Srour, the artist Yousef Dweik, and Dr. Noha Farran, who were celebrated by the EFAS for their achievements.
Salem Al Junaibi, Chairman of the Emirates Fine Arts Society (EFAS), delivered a speech during the opening of the exhibition in which he appreciated the support of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to the development of the art and culture in the Emirate of Sharjah.
He also thanked Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi for opening the exhibition and all partners, supporters and artists.
