The spirit of collaboration and solidarity is the most prominent and sublimate feature among Sharjah institutions, and Sharjah Department of Culture has set an example in the management and organization of events and cultural and artistic initiatives, and supporting art and artists and intellectuals. It is no doubt that our persistent efforts in serving culture and arts have made us one family. This takes us back to the many years that are ripe with generosity and achievements, and elevating the artistic and cultural movement in the UAE.
Salem Aljneibi Chairman of Efas An Emirati visual artist, based in Sharjah, He is the president of Emirates Fine Art Society sine 2018. He has personally supervised many different exhibitions, art events, and art publications, along with participating in numerous jury committees. He plays a prominent role in encouraging, discovering, and supporting young talents, in addition to participating in many fairs and group art exhibitions, both local and international.
We are indeed blessed to have wise leadership. The leaders of the UAE have paid special attention and care to the public benefit societies, and stood by their side on their mission to achieve their goals and noble vision. They were, and still are, our role models and inspiration and leading our way. Now, after 42 years of founding Emirates Fine Arts Society, the sincerest thanks, honest gratitude and acknowledgment, and deepest appreciation are due to his highness Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi, ruler of Sharjah, for his continuous support and generous patronage. I would also like to express my sincerest thanks and huge appreciation to His Excellency Abdullah Mohammed AlOwais, Chairman of the Department of Culture – Sharjah Government, for his constant patronage and support for the Society and Al-Tashkeel magazine.
All praise be to God for blessing us, flooding us with his generosity, and for facilitating our path. For that, we can but pray and hope all good for everyone who supported, contributed, participated, and exerted efforts and patronage for the Society to reach its goals and deliver its noble message.
Salem Al Juneibi is an Emirati visual artist, writer and curator based in Sharjah. He served as the President of the Emirates Fine Art Society for five years, from May 2018 to May 2023. Throughout his career, he has been actively involved in overseeing various exhibitions, art events, and art publications. Additionally, he has served on numerous jury committees.
