With a brand-new strategy and style, “Al-Tashkeel” seasonal magazine comes to you, bringing together the finest of writers and researchers from different countries of the world, to share their ideas and thoughts with us, presenting a collection of topics so we can stay in touch with the local and international art dialogues and its updates; covering art exhibitions, event, and festivals. In addition to staying up-to-date with all the discussions and debates occurring within the current cultural departments, as well as covering all the prominent events and exhibitions, and keeping up with the latest topics and updates on the artistic scene.
On May 29, 2022, Emirates Fine Arts Society held the re-launching of “Al-Tashkeel” Magazine in the presence of the association’s president Artist Salem Al Juneibi; and editor-in-chief Dr. Noha Farran, along with other artists, media professionals, and notable persons.
The event started with a statement by Salem Al Junaibi, president of EFAS, in which he announced the magazine’s return after it stopped for many years, but in a brand new strategy and style, and he continued saying that the Society will make sure the magazine continues to publish, he stated, for its value and originality and since the art scene is in need of such cultural publications.
Abdul Rahim Salem, founder of “Al-Tashkeel” magazine, was honored by Society’s administrative members, and he, in turn, expressed his happiness with the magazine’s current publication, and how it comes in line with the founders’ futuristic vision for the magazine to become a valuable and documenting reference for art and artists and for all intellectual, cultural, and artistic topics.
Dr. Noha Farran is the Founder & CEO of ‘Thinking Art’ Foundation’, Historian, Professor, Cultural Strategist, Researcher, Curator, Visual Artist & Chief Editor of Al Tashkeel magazine. Holding a Ph.D. with excellence in the 'Art & Science of Arts', an MFA in Fine Arts, and an MA in the philosophy of art, she has authored numerous published books and research papers documenting art in the Arab World.
